The safest path is to learn to count these cells first, and only then follow people over time. Everything we need to do that already exists within thirty minutes of downtown Phoenix — we do not have to build any of it.

A university lab that designs new immune tests and can sort single cell types out of blood with better than 99% accuracy. This is our first choice for running the measurement.

A commercial lab that builds custom immune tests for drug companies — and says it can rebuild a test straight from a published scientific paper, which is exactly what we need.

A university facility nearby that does the same kind of cell counting and sorting, and is open to outside researchers.

A world-class hospital lab that works with outside researchers. It also has clean rooms for making cell treatments — something that would only matter years from now, if ever.

What we are asking a lab to do

“Can you reproduce and extend the flow-cytometry phenotype described in Hashimoto et al. 2019 and 2026 using peripheral blood from an adult research participant?”

This is not a routine blood test you can order at a clinic. It is a specific research measurement, run the same way every time, with checks built in. If a good lab cannot repeat it reliably, that is the answer — and the project stops there.
